Re: 3.2 V6 - removing the oil filter heat exchanger
The answer was staring me in the face
I removed the stud from the gtv6 engine which came out very easily just a rag and a set if stlilsons
I then removed the stud from the from the original oil cooler adaptor and they were both exactly the same and fitted the 164 block no problem

Re: 3.2 V6 - removing the oil filter heat exchanger
This is the exact same fitting for the oil filter on a gtv6 12v block Today I have been to a hydraulic engineers shop and have and have been informed that the fitting thread size which goes into the block is 1/2" bsp Which has a very slight taper Couldn't find the thread size for the oil filter...

Re: 3.2 V6 - removing the oil filter heat exchanger
Hi Kev As you probably are aware I have started on the 24 valve conversion again and am now at the oil filter stage I take on board your comment about using a uniform thread for the oil filter stud On your block you tapped a thread which I presume matches the gtv oil filter but as my block already h...

Re: 164 24 valve conversion
Jim thank you for your observation
The picture was taken from alfabb website
So apart from the wrong size unions would you advise going down the adaptor route rather than the drilling and threaded fitting as used by kev r

Re: valve adjustment
