Re: A Quick dyno run
Altitude is big factor there but I think you're still 2500ft lower than JHB . You should see about 95kw on wheels .

Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
Noooo, you got it all wrong , that's just a plate in front of the head which has a brass bung behind it . These just screw out and are replaced with the ones from the back . Just a simple swap , probabably easier than changing a spark plug !
I will post another pic.

Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
Pic shows interference of the lower idler bearing and using standard housing with minor adaptions . It cannot be done . Also so does not line up to pipes Black pen line shows where to hole saw . Note if you go to big it definitely weekend the support for the bearing as there has been a failure from ...

Re: 166 or GTA 24v into 116 GTV/75
See page before of some pics of the black 75 that's just been posted . Some pics of a water pump adaptor plate I have been working to make the conversion easier with the motors that have the chain driven oil pump . Due to idler pulley being much lower on these motors the thermostat housing totally c...

Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
Some pics of a Friends 75 with a 3.2 24v motor . Pics show options of bringing water pipes from the back . It's slighly easier in the 75 than the Gtv due to more room but still a nightmare if you change the thermostat . Might have mentioned before that if you skim heads the thermostat fitting does n...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff
I gave up at beginning of week trying to get my visa in time for the Spectacolo . They could not promise it would be processed that quickly which is understandable ( when having an SA passport ) so next year I must just organise to get visas early ...... But then it might turn out the queue might be...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff
Hi Z , yes I will be at Silverstone classic as my mate who I work with is looking after a GTV 6 that's racing on Sunday . No doubt I will take lots of pics . Car has just been redone ( respray etc) and is looking really good . I was checking out the huge negative camber on the rear wheels the other ...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff
Looks like it's gonna be another great event . As I'm still on a SA passport I'm gonna have to apply for a visa ASAP . Problem with our passport the embassy always wants an address where you staying which means I have to book a B&B first then take chance of getting visa in time . I have checked ...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff
Use of track car has been limited due exhaust being 2db over the limit for Goowood at last track day . They said I could go out but manage the noise with short shifting etc but that's pretty pointless with current gearbox ad their is only 600rpm difference between 4th and 5th ! So looks like I will ...

Re: Clutch plate refurbishment
Norbrake in Benoni did mine , but must check the have correct thickness . When you bolt it up if the rivet on the pressure plate is flush then your clutch won't release . However if you can get correct thickness lining then you can skim the intermediate plate by the difference . I will check what ne...

Re: Hello from relocation to UK
It was ClassicAlfa trackday this weekend at Goodwood . Huge turnout and was fully booked six weeks before . Just shows the demand to get the classics out onto the track . I drove to Goodwood and back in track car . Covered 150 miles hassle free except for splitting headache from th 98 DB exhaust . T...

Re: 3D Printing
Way to go Z ! My mate bought one to make some parts for the car but ended up making a fortune ( small one ) printing toy soldiers for collectors . Just by chance he stumbled onto it .
I guess as long as the part is in compression you're ok

Re: Check your radiator!
Does the 75 TD radiator just drop in ? I see the pins are further apart on the eBay drawing . Does that match up to the other hole in the cradle . Is the radiator from TD thicker or just wider ( TD is 613 mm vs 566mm) .
