Re: Bosch TPS for GTV6 / Megasquirt
I know this is an old thread, but for anyone scouring for Megasquirt TPS info, I have a Denso TPS part number 179950-0161 that is physically a perfect fit, even the same connector. I pulled it in a yard and think it came out of a Hyundai... likely cheaper than the European options. In fact, look up ...

GTV6/milano water pump, timing belt and mechanical tensioner
Sorta like a timing belt replacement kit:
- Dayco belt
- new alfa mechanical tensioner (you'd need the stud and plug from centerline if converting ~$15)
- new water pump made by Repco, formerly BAP/GEON
$200 for all

Re: Early and late driveshafts compatible?
Okay, figured out the drive shaft and input bearing thing. The bearing is the same between early and late. Evidently the bearing on the old shaft had pulled off during engine removal and fell in between the flywheel and crank. It's just a press fit on to the end of the shaft. Both front guibos have ...

Re: Early and late driveshafts compatible?
Great, thanks for all of the info. Pretty sure I would have noticed the 4" difference eventually, better now that I can plan for it. So, sounds like I need to move just the flywheel over to the new engine, or maybe just the bearing if that's possible. Then fit the good guibos from Milano drives...

Early and late driveshafts compatible?
I'm merging a 1987 Milano parts car with My 1985 GTV6. The GTV6 sat for 10+ years apparently due to bad liner o-rings and head gasket failure... and a PO with no cash or motivation. Anyway, found a junker Milano with a lot of good parts. Both engines are pulled and the GTV6 has the pinch-bolt collar...

Re: Help with keys...
Got it! Took about ten minutes. I sawed a slot in the bolt (and column) and took it out with a flat head screwdriver. I can even reuse the bolt.

Re: Help with keys...
Hmm. I don't see anything under the switch but column. There's a nub right behind where the wires go in that might be something. It actually looks like it would be hard to just remove the column.

Help with keys...
Hi. Picked up a 1985 GTV6 that had been sitting for a couple of years. The keys are lost. Can someone tell me if the key is the same for the doors and ignition? I'd like to take just a door handle/lock to a locksmith rather bring a locksmith to the car. Thanks!
