Re: Desperate for a thermostat housing
Hi guys!
Thanks for all the assistance but Kevin from AK classics managed to sort one out.
Im sure all you s.a guys know him but if not, he's definitely my go to guy.
I was looking at centreline alfa for it but I needed it ASAP so it wasn't viable.

Re: Desperate for a thermostat housing
Hey! Thanks for the super quick reply  Its my last resort, id like to know that its been done right and I can forget about it, and that whole piece is pretty pitted inside too, so id prefer a replacement. If theres no alternative then thats what ill do. But its not ideal. Ive tried finding repl...

Desperate for a thermostat housing
Hey guys! So I am doing a much needed recoring of my radiator plus replacement of hoses etc. I did this because my radiator fans were squealing like crazy (any upgrade recommendations?) While doing this I noticed that my thermostat housing was completely knackered (see pic) 20273248_1020923424...

Re: What to do re: engine overhaul
Hi Kevin! Thanks for the reply :) I was planning to order the stuff from centerline. Are you saying id be better off getting the kits from EB or highwood when im in s.a? I need to do the gaskets of the engine from top to bottom as it has leaks all along the block. I believe some of the smoking is fr...

Re: Adjust odometer
hey! :) im just snowballing here but i think if you could get a pulse generator (from a university/electrical shop and create input signals to simulate speed (as the speed in these cars is done by electrical impulses) you could run it at 240 kph until it hits your required mileage. It may take a whi...

Re: A Quick dyno run
Well, he said its possible but hes done runs with vehicles from a south african dyno shop,to insure that its accurate. The thing is my graph looks different to murrays as the kw value climbs from 28kW at 3000 Rpm to 75 kw at 5500 Rpm. The torque also climbs steadily from 120 Nm to 145 Nm at 3000 and...

Re: A Quick dyno run

Ive had the injectors overhauled and the plugs are all a perfect greyis...

A Quick dyno run
Hi guys So ive just gone for a dyno run, 2 runs. Both almost identical. Im attaching an image for you guys. Now i saw at the end a weird golf ball effect along what i think is the exhaust port. what is that from and what for? is it to increase back pressure reduce it? make the flow more turbulent? it got me curious

Re: Merc Kompressor Supercharger?
WOW! this seems to be a potential idea! I was expecting it to be shotdown immediately. Okay ill check up on them as soon as im back in Botswana. I do believe twin superchargers would sap a fair amount of Engine power but the boost per cylinder will definitely jump! :D :D I think the p...
