It seems most people from other countries that post on this board speak English so well we tend to forget it's not thier primary language. The peope from northern Europe and Australia seem to have a real mastery of English.

Hi Murray, I must have missed your dec. 22 post. If you replace the valve guides the valve seats will need to be machined which is probably something you are doing anyway.

I agree with Papajam, honing is important. My dad would have a cow if I told him I was building an engine without honing.

Hi Brian,
No I have not. Engines like that are so far outside the realm of what I do I just have not done it. It might be interesting though.

Jim, I think it's important to mention the type of fuel being used when discussing these radical motors. While you may think it's obvious many others may not realize that nobody is running 12:1 compression with 2 bar of boost on any fuel available at the local service station. In fact at a certain p...

Hi Andrew. As to your question about who I would order from, I don't know since I am not in the market for a 24 valve motor and I don't know what the pros and cons are of ordering directly. If the products, support, reputation and warrantees are the same then I suppose like most people I would go wi...

Lets not be too hard on JJ. First of all, what some of you are calling JJ's "commercial" interest has very little chance of making a profit. It's really a labor of love. Of course he is planning on charging enough to offset his expenses. Who here wouldn't do that? As it is I suspect it wil...

Jarle, if your headers work out as well as that intake plenum you made you should consider making a few extra set to sell. It sounds like there is a big demand for larger bore headers and no one out there making them.

That car looks great. I would cut one coil off the rear springs to even out the ride height. I love the color and the wheels!

I am with Jim on this one. Barry don't leave. I read every single post you write and your information is of great value to us all. Consider this. It's not at all unusual for people to get emotional over issues with these cars. It gets even more tense when the discussion involves a product someone ha...

If you have the heater box out of the car there are a couple things you can and probably should do. Take out the heater core and have a radiator shop attach standard 1/2 inch fittings to it. Then run 1/2 inch heater line from the heater core into the engine bay and hook it up to an underhood heater ...

I think those engines are awsome. The prices are reasonable and in line with the prices of other ultra high performance motors. Anyone who says otherwise has not priced a new Chrysler Hemi (a real one not the Mexican built 300C motor). It's good to see someone bringing newer and well developed Alfa ...

Thanks for the info Barry. It really looks good. I don't recal ever seeing that engine here in the USA. Is it as good or better then the Toyota inline 6 out of the 93+ Supras? Nissans over here tend to be V6s post 1983.
