Thanks Peter, the Yakima brand is harder to find here in OZ, if you're in Australia and want to sell them i'd be interested otherwise i'll probably get the Thule ones(not as good as Rola as the bars are square = noisy etc for the one that fits 75/Milano) but they are totally removable.

Alfa 75 roof rack options

Anyone found a good roof rack like the ROLA brand that doesn't require riveting the attachments to the roof! The rola racks i've got on my gtv clip on the sides (too small to fit 75) but the only decent racks i've found for the 75 need the attachments riveted to the roof and there's no way i'm doing...

Welcome esperan, that 3.3 ltr carby V6 sounds great, you've got to rebuid it sometime, plus the autodelta front suspension, what are the differences, just thicker torsion and sway bar(s)? how do you adjust them, have you got the twin brake caliper set up aswell? Sounds like an interesting GTV, whats...

Geez Zambon this sounds like DUKES OF HAZARD country! cars going off road to get away, being chased by the cops, i just hope you're alfa doesn't have an 05 on the welded shut doors and the windows down all the time :D Yeeee Haaaaww Surely the cops can't make anything stick unless they catch you firs...

Nice work Timbowe! Great looking GTV and engine bay, all that hard work has paid off, how are you going to run the engine in, any different with total seal rings? That custom overflow bottle looks tidy too.

Ok here is some progress but i've got a lot more questions........HELP :D I'm not going to use the intercooler yet just the standard airbox but i think later getting the intercooler sealed up and used as a water to air one will be good, but thats later......now http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/993...

Yep i wasn't really planning to touch the crank etc
I lifted the head off myself without too much hassel, the worst part was getting at one of the sump nuts between the crossmember and steering rack :? other wise its been going well until these bearings......

No pics atm i'll take some tomorrow.......ok i'm gunna cop some sh*t now :D
i removed head and sump, block still in car. I thought the bearings would have been ok but now i've got them out and need to be replaced, i really need to pull the crank too and send to the machine shop.......

Thanks for all the advice guys. So i'll replace the bearings with new ones. I'm a bit out my depth from here......haven't done these before i don't know what size the crank journals are Barry, i guess you need to know this when getting new bearings or can the old ones be used to get the right size? ...

Bearing condition/inspection

Hi there I'd like to get an opinon of the condition of these bearings, the marks i'm unsure about are the small ones, any ideas what causes these or are these marks normal?
