Can't get the Tacho working with EDIS

Hi I know this forum is for GTV6ers, and my case refers to a GTV4, but I'm hoping similarities with the Alfetta tachometers are consistent enough for someone to be able to help me. I tried posting elsewhere but nobody has responded. This is my final try, so I hope someone out there can help. I have ...

Re: Twin Spark gearbox on 3ltr 75

Oh no, don't tell me you swapped bad for worse? BTW , thanks for all your help everyone. I'm thinking of pulling the clutch out and fixing the rattle, but the thought of another week end under the car in a freezing cold shed may be difficult to handle. Maybe I will wait a couple of weeks before I do...

Re: Twin Spark gearbox on 3ltr 75

Hi Kevin Thanks for your reply, I hope you can help me a bit more ….. I already had the car on the road before I received your reply. I hadn’t changed the Thrust Bearing guide, and yes it does rattle. Hopefully it’s only in there for a couple of months while we get around to re-building the o...

Twin Spark gearbox on 3ltr 75

Hi everyone ... There are a number of good forums for Transaxle Alfas, so forgive me if i break any rules by posting the same thing to each of them... Please let me know if it's an issue. I recently posted this in a local Alfa Club forum and here in Australia and the ABB, but I thought I should cast...

Mats, the 75 speedo is electronic with a sender etc ... the Alfetta I have has a cable. I wouldn't know where to start with re-working the speedo. I'm also very keen to keep the original look and feel on the Dashboard. So if I re-work the speedo, I may windup having to replace the actual speedo in t...

Thanks Mats. I have a spare Alfetta box that I can use the Pinion and Crown gears from. I can then use the 75 gears. The problem is that I'm told the Alfetta Pinion and crown gears are the main points of failure on the Alfetta. I was told that when the 1800 Alfetta was upgraded to 2000, they kept th...

Damaged Alfetta Gearbox

Hi Folks, I wonder if someone has some answers to my problem. The other day my Alfetta's Gearbox started whining. Soon after it made a crunching noise and the transaxle locked up. I pulled it down today and discovered the pinion gear was missing half it's teeth. I've been thinking about putting a st...

Megasquirt and the D-Jetronic - whats the diff

Hi Folks, This is probably a dumb question, but I've just been reading the 'Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management' book by Charles Probst. On Page 12 of chapter 7, he talks about the D-Jetronic injection system. It was one of the early types. It didn't have an AFM, it worked primarily on inta...
