Re: Motor Removal & Rear Main Crank Seal R & R
Engine will come out with exhaust manifolds and rear cover attached. You will need a hoist that can raise the engine very high and preferably with a tilt mechanism.

Re: GTV6 wont start
Does it turn over and fire and then immediately die? If so then it does suggest a faulty ECU.

Re: Hi from a Lancia Nut!!
That it does, however, the 24v is lower geared to compensate for the different torque characteristics and also it revs to over 7000rpm, the scream of these engines at high revs is insane. These are long-lived engines if treated correctly and 12v's as you said, are getting rare and even to rebuild on...

Re: Hi from a Lancia Nut!!
Go for the 24v, you can pick up complete cars for less then £1000, and transfer the whole drive-train & fuel injection over.

Message for RZ (re suspension)
.. can you show pictures of your front suspension please?
Are the lower arms level or angled?
I read somewhere that the suspension can be raised to clear speed bumps and will lower (if raised) when at speed?

Re: Are all V6 tailshafts the same?
In the UK, every GTV6 I have seen has a pinch bolt type shaft, every 75 3 litre I have seen has the pinch bolt type shaft, every 75 Twinspark I have seen has a non-pinch bolt (regular) shaft, but some very early 75 2.5 (1987) have a non-pinch bolt type shaft - I can't recall if this was the same as ...

Re: What sort of Alfa cars we want
No, I am a realist. I want to see Alfa survive but their current cars, apart from the 159, are sh!t. Without doubt, the Mazda MX-5 is a good driving car and similar in spirit to the old Alfa Spider, the current Spider is flabby and overweight. Automatic? If you look around you will see mostly women ...

Re: What sort of Alfa cars we want
A proper Alfa Spider, similar in concept to the Mazda MX-5 (Miata), must have an automatic option (for the wife).
