Re: Swapping gears from 75 box into 116 GTV box
Thanks mate, thats very helpfull. I am doing this combo to combine the 4.3 final drive of the GTV box with the closer 1-3 gears of the 75 box. keeping the right speed sender is a bonus :). I will also be putting the LSD from the 75 box in so when I am done I will have the close 1-3 gears, a 4.3 fina...

Swapping gears from 75 box into 116 GTV box
Hi Guys, Does anyone know if its possible to swap 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears from a 75 box into a 116 GTV box? It looks like the gears can't be seperated from the mainshaft, so would have to swap the whole thing over there (4th 5th and R ratios are the same). Will the 75 gears fit on the 116 pinion sha...

Re: 3.2 V6 - removing the oil filter heat exchanger
Thanks Kevin, very helpful as usual. My engine is out of a GT, and the heat exchanger has a 3/4 -16 thread for the oil filter. I am happy to keep this thread as it is the same as many Nissans (which i also like to play with) so it is easy to get a relocator block for. I stole a fitting out of a Niss...

3.2 V6 - removing the oil filter heat exchanger
I'm not sure if all the 24Vs have this or just the 3.2s, but mine has this heat exchanger: http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f249/smity42/Alfa%20GTV/201007031020.jpg Obviously this has to come off so that an engine mount can go on. After removing it, I found that the 'center' hole for the oil filter...

Re: Blocking Heater hose fitting on 24V V6
Next question, does anyone happen to know what thread that fitting is?
From measuring I get possibly M24x1.5?

Blocking Heater hose fitting on 24V V6
Hi Guys, I want to know if I can replace this fitting with a bung on a 24V V6: http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f249/smity42/Random/coolantfittings.jpg It is the heating for the heater hose. I won't have a heater box, so I need to either bung up that hole, or run a hose from there to the bottom rad...

Re: GTV vs 75 DeDion "Triangle"
out of curiosity, what are you doing with the 75? Stealing parts off it :P I bought it for the 5 stud, front brakes (although i will use them on the rear and get something bigger for the front) and V6 conversion parts (engine mounts etc). As an added bonus it had a LSD transaxle in the boot, althou...

Re: Transaxle help please
Hi Guys, Two new questions: What is the middle switch in the picture below? I know the one on the left is speed and the one on the right is reverse, but whats the middle one? Neutral? What does it use it for? http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f249/smity42/Alfa%20GTV/transaxle%20comparison/2010060768...

Re: GTV vs 75 DeDion "Triangle"
The 75 TS uses the 5 lug but has M8 bolts holding the axle. The 75 1.8Tb and v6 use M10 bolts. The thread on the big 36mm nuts is different from eachother, left and right thread on opposite sides. Perhaps you were trying to turn them the wrong way? your switching from 4lug to 5lug? wh...
