Re: Oil level
No doubt that the crank scraper is worth some power - but you will need to CAREFULLY examine its fit and trim and file it to get it to sit correctly between the block and pan. Right out of the box it interferes with some of the casting features and you will have a big leak in spite of how much RTV y...

Re: Best standalone ecu system
I took the plunge on an emerald K6 unit. I am sourcing all the parts I need now and reading and studying every thing I can get my hands on. The ECU has a base map in it already from emerald to get me up and started. I ran the car (3.0L S motor +) on a chassis dyno for a baseline with the modded Ljet...

Actually what's the big deal about the rod offset? What if I bought the max speeding non-offset rods and machine the small end so it is as wide as the stock rod small end? I don't even know the logic behind an offset rod. I have OEM, Max speed and PPM connecting rods that I have just finished measu...

Usually about $10 on eBay with shipping. You want to use this when you torque that nut back on. Also for us Americans living in the land of inches and feet it's a 1-5/8" socket.

Very nice work Kevin, What is the thinking behind enlarging the volume of the Plenum? Is this well proven? It seems obvious that the runners need to be enlarged but I am curious about the increase in volume of the plenum. Increased torque in a particular range or is it just improved breathing all al...

Re: Race drive line
I would be interested in upgrading my driveline. The reinforced clutch housing would be a start. But there is a weakness in the rear most giubo as well. At my power level I have had no real problems with the front and middle flex discs. The rear flex disc (Giubo) is a problem in that the inner split...

You used a motor from a 75/Milano right? If the auxilliary shaft worm gear was from that car then it shouuld have been OK. But the gear from a 164 Motronic motor is different. The oil pump turns twice as fast. But you can't be using that because it won't drive a conventional distributor, right? I go...
