Ross, One minor correction to your description of the FWD TS rear main seal. The FWD block (164 and 155) has been shortened so the seal sticks out . . . but it is in the same location as the Nord or 75 TS. I've also included a section drawing of the 75 TS cylinder head and manifold . . . sorry I do...

That is bloody brilliant. Thats what I call swift action. :D Ok, now that you showed me the water jackets under the intake I'm convinced. That is just superb. I'm thinking of the 155 head on the 75 TS block, that would fit I'm hoping, can't see why not? 75 TS head on old nord block is more difficul...

More

Mats , Additionally,by groove in manifold do you mean relief for injectors? I believe in the previously posted photo that new turbo 155 manifold was not finshed, see attached photo showing bosses for injectors installed with comparison of both manifolds, both 155 I may have mistyped previously thinki...

Hold on don't get bummed

Mats, Boy are you in luck! Please reconsider this notion. I have attached a larger version of photo than before. Look closely as there are water jacket plugs between intakes below the manifold. Look at photo lower left and you can barely see one. Tomorrow I will get straight on shot and repost. Also...

well, that is just depending on bore and stroke, so if the bores are all the same and the crank have the same stroke on all cylinders it's good. mats , granted, but for purposes of knowing swept volume divided into combustion chamber volume to calc the CR ? just simple bore/ stroke calc for volume ...

You've just begun to scratch the surface of hard work! Now you must equalize chamber volumes to the largest one by careful grinding. It may take anywhere up to 4 hours and countless repeated precision measurements! When that is done, you must make sure combustion volumes are equal, by bolting the h...

Maurizio, like I said, do yourself a favor and use an OLD (used!) head gasket for all calculations. To check for valve/piston clearance, rotate engine without head gasket!!! Depending on maker, head gaskets can compress during use by 0,5mm or more ! Jim K. This "go no go method" should te...

Yikes I had no idea this would stike a nerve but the thread can bear with us for a moment . I thought we were changing over to metric 15 -20 years ago it was official and then between the housewives who couldn't put down a measuring cup with avoir du pois measurements and pick up a metric measuring ...

Nord rod: 156,950/157,050mm (from AR shop manual) The TS length is not specified in the official literature, but is a little shorter if I remember right. MATS...HELP !!! ( HE knows!) Jim K. :? . Checked the rod and it is 156,02 mm. So where the "$&% does the piston\exhaust valve contact come from. Removed the cams, put the head on its back and filled the combustion chamber up with some very thin oil. (measured cumbustion camber volume also) And after two days only one exhaust...
