constantinemacris Read this as a letter of sympathy. :) I have the following problem for 1.5 year now: Everithing started last year at the highway when I stepped off the accelerator at 160-170 kms/h, the driveline started to rattle dangerously! Below 4500 rpm it was normal, and the rattle semmed to ...

Jim, thanks for the detailed information. Answering your question, 'how did I decide..?', I was just thinking of. 8) That is why I asked, and now you made me convinced. Probably I will go for what you suggested. I' m actually satisfied with the power it brings now, but one always wants a little more...

As written above; porting, larger valves, larger intakes. I'll get a set of 3.0 valves soon, and was thinking of taking them to the macine shop and make them machined to smaller diameter. But I don't know exactly, what is the largest, the 2.5 head can accomodate? ~42mm intake maybe? That would the m...

Thanks Jim!

Actually I know them QV, but on this site is more known as S.

Would you suggest to go on with them? To build them in a modified head?

Hi Guys! I'd also like to have some questions about the heads. I have a stock 2.5. I don't want to change to 3.0 only would like to create some power increase by modifying the heads. I will have a set of brand new 3.0 litre valves. But AFAIK, they are too large to simply fit them in the 2.5 litre he...

Thanks Guys for the reply. I use my car in normal circumstances, it has never been on the track. Maybe sometimes... The KONI's are set to factory setting, so at the softest level. I used to have problems with nodding the front at braking and on bad road surface. This was because of lowering a...

Thanks Shures, and you're right. Where the crossectional area decreases in the tube, sometimes I hear the water "floating" inside. :? So I assume this as a temporary solution, I will change the tubing when I install the hoses of the AC. But on the other hand, I use heating only in March an...

Seb I'd like to have a question. :) I know it was already a matter of discussion, but are you 100% sure that the numbers on the cams (3031 and 3033) refers to the QV cams? Did you look after it somewhere? Isn't it possible that the letter 'S' written on the cams were referring to 'sinistra'? I'm ask...

Sorry Guys! I've completely forgotten to post pictures about the conversation. Approx. a week after my last post in this topic I've installed the Alfetta valve, and I can happily say that it performs great! Some minor modifications were necessary, but it could be carried out easily. -The firs...

Mats

Sorry, I really misunderstood.
Those teeth are good shaped used ones from my other boxes.
Unfrortunately I'm getting run out of them. :?

Dave
Thickness is 0.1 and 0.15 mm.
I've had these two sets made, and combined them as a function of syncro sleeve wear.
