I'm curious if anyone has had stock rod failure below 7,500 rpm with natural aspiration w/ S-compressioin values (V6 12)?? during the 80' in the supertourisme champ. The gtv6 2.5L from race cars produce output beetwen 7500 to 8000 (depending year) driven by STOCK RODS (stock 2.5L ones). polished ec...

Use that kind of things: its like a rotating rubber...avaible in any local painting shop. works great to pull out everything that is sticky, rest of bonds, decals..ect.. and also a little of cetone with a cloth in close corner where the round pad can go. http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydepot/images...

What about hubcentric vs lugcentric? If you used offset washers bolts, what do you do to keep the weight of the car on the bore of the wheel and not the lugs? yeah like mats saids dont worry about it... if you know that you are very nicely concentric when you torques wheels nuts...then anything wil...

Rods were the weakest point of those machines and frequently broke at ~8k. Jim K. i heard from a guy called Guy Meallet that had works at SoDeMo in the past 90 (he is workin on engine assembly and gearboxes, that guy is 50 year old man) that the rods on 8000+ rpm 2.5L race engines are the oem ones ...
