Independent Dedion - Francia/Schlesser 75 Turbo
I took some pics a while back of a homologated independent rear Dedion on this ex race 75 . I understand it was only homologated for the Italian series .
Some pics first of car and interior before underside .

Very nice pics.
Looks rather complicated to me.
A guy over here in the Netherlands just finished his rear axle;

Remco,
the Francia/Schlesser version has a lot more in it then just adjustable camber and toe...
It was a factory trick to let it appear to be a adjustable dion, but it is a independent rear suspension.
(So left side movement doesn't influence right)

Yeah, i got the independent part.
But i'm wondering how much difference there would be between this very complicated set-up and an adjustable de-dion like Stan's.

Re: Independent Dedion - Francia/Schlesser 75 Turbo
This car was destined for Australia to race in the touring car series but the plug was pulled back then . This suspension was the only way Alfa could " bend" the rules to go independent which I'm sure at that high end of racing must have been better . I doubt any of us would have the hours and team budget ( and driving skill) to set this up to be most effective . A friend of mine who made the Gotech system worked as a team mechanic on this car many years ago and said it was really complex but extremely brilliant .
I struggle just to set my spring rates and Antiroll bar settings on the front on my own car . Glad I don't have to deal with the back .
Chris who owns the car now is going to race in the classic touring car series. So I will keep an eye on it and follow its progress .
Remco that kit made by "stan75" Netherlands is excellent . Now that's something he should sell and simple to set up the rear end .

Been staring at this pics for the last couple of minutes trying to figure out what the hell is going on...kevin wrote:Four wheel steering

I don't think it's 4 wheel steer - or adjusting the toe - I think it's using the link from the end of the sway bar to the upright as an upper link - stopping it from behaving as a swing axle setup, and making it into a proper Short and Long (very long) Arm suspension - clever use of existing mounting points (would also explain why the roll cage is heavily braced to the sway bar mounting points!).
The chargecooler setup doesn't look that out of the ordinary to me, except for the horrendous welding on the front edge of the end tank.
I'm curious as to what the door trim material is though.
