All our cars , the exhausts come out the side so that's not been an issue.

Re: Some more brake upgrades for the 116-Barry
Just ordered my vented rear brake kit. No more overheating BS brake fluid hopefully.
BTW, isn't the rear SZ brakes almost similar to the front disc of a Pug 106 ? But offset will be a problem....
Now I will work on ducting too. Any photos of ducts around?

Can't use use pug discs . Made my own from Nissan with own bells. Zamani when you find ducting let me know. I don't want to make any intakes in rear side windows like other racers do. I need it still to look standard.
Re: Some more brake upgrades for the 116-Barry
I've finished with upgrade. Discs of a Merc needed 6mm spacer to clear the calipers for Azev Typ A 16x7.5 ET:30. Disc from GTA (305mm) will be a bit closer to wheel, so you'll have to go for about 9-10mm spacer for these wheels.Jose_76 wrote:I have a set of AZEV 16x7.5" wheels, so I guess there's room for the 305mm discs and GTA calipers.
Nobody could fit them without cutting/welding the hub's ears (don't know if that's the right name for it :-S)?
Re: Some more brake upgrades for the 116-Barry
Thanks, Killaz. I'll check the ET of my Azevs, although I think it's the same as yours.

@zamani And all others!
Here in Holland there is a guy who made ducts. He does have a lot of room though!
Keep posting the pictures with the brake conversions! Also for the rear it's great to see what can be done!

Re: Some more brake upgrades for the 116-Barry
Melvivio,
Your rear exhaust section should be joined by two flanges so it can be pulled apart more easily when required. Once rusted together, the existing join may need to be cut off to separate.
You also should examine closely your transaxle output shaft seals. They appear to be leaking, especially the RHS one.

That's not his car.. It's posted as an example for the ducts.
But very sharp eyes you have there.

Re: Some more brake upgrades for the 116-Barry
Melvivio , thanks for that as ihave been looking for ideas to get cooling on rear brakes
Re: Some more brake upgrades for the 116-Barry
@MD and Giuliettaevo2
My car is leaking much harder then over just the seals.....
There is also lesser room around the gearbox with my exhaust, but it can be pulled apart fairly easy!
I also have no airducts yet
@Kevin Your welcome! I'll keep you posted when I make my design
