Speedo sender removal?

Post by mmelton »

We tried changing my speedo sender a few nights ago, and found the old one more than a little reluctant to come out. I'm pretty sure this disc with the square tab is plastic (well aged), and I'm pretty good at breaking stuff, so we were reluctant to really pry and use force. We could get a little back-and-forth movement by push-pulling on the tab, but no out movement.

Suggestions?

'careful' prying on the plastic usually works. i've taken one out 4-5 times, so i'm not really 100% sure.

Thanks. That was my thought, but I thought I'd better hear from someone with some experience first. We'll give it a shot.
