Yes Mats will be mated to a ex Colin Bond Group A motor I just bought to go in in my GTV6 race car I am building.
(I just wanted the motor but the seller prefered to sell as a pair)

I just read Straight cut gearsets are relatively noisy in operation and have an inherent whine to them.(Sounds like my exgirlfriend)

I don't know about your ex, but the box won't break when you run it hard ;)

Now on topic: That's a nice find. The box probably has some nice short ratios and a short diff ratio 8) Noisy as hell, but you won't notice that whit your helmet on. Otherwise, buy some earplugs!

Alfettish same engine and gearbox as the Dulux beast.(Not alot of power but was extremely reliable)

Diff ratio is 4.1
fithth is 1:1
diff locked at 90 percent.(All the info I have at this point)

I am aware of the autodelta close ratio gearbox variants : 2.54,1.94,1.55,1.22,1.0 gear ratios with final drive of either 4.1, 4.545, 5.125, 3.5 (v6 size),
-straight cut gears with bearings on all gears and standard synchros with inbuilt oil pump spraying cool oil on each gear and on diff gears too. Some had 75% Lsd.

Dennis go hard or go home is the moto for this engine ha ha
Mats come down to Oz and teach me how to change gears with straight cut gears ! do I match Revs and Double clutch or just match revs? as I said impulse buy.....

Upshifting just slam the gears home.
Downshifting I would doubleclutch.

As you say they retain the std synchros you shift as you would on a normal tranny. All the gears are meshed 100% on both boxes and you only lock them to the axle when you engage the sleeve.

Is the casing identical to a normal transaxle? Or, do you have a reinforced casing (clutch, diff, etc)?

Nice find you have there! Put me 2nd in line if you want to part with it.
