Limited Edition TS tranny?

Post by PietereQ »

Hey,
My friend who apparently has his extra ts tranny for sale claims that his is of a Limited edition 75 TS - ie much longer gears, have you ever heard of it? Cuz I didn't and i don't know is it worth the hassle just getting the lsd tranny with bad ratios :?
cheers,
Pete

What do you call bad ratios?
What is the intended use of the car?
What is the price of fuel in your locality?
What performance expectations do you have from a SPORTS car?

You cannot satisfy all the above criteria with one set of ratios. Hence there are many to choose from.

As far as I know all 75's have the sam speedgears except the diesels.
Some previous owner probably switched the 4.1 for a 3.55 or something and called it "Special" for the LE. :roll:

Fuel consumption/price are no issue here as i don't really use the car everyday, and when it comes to drive it - I often use it on the track. So bad gears ratios for me here are those which sacrifice acceleration for top speed/fuel economy.
@mats,
I was baffled too but I talked to few other people who claim that there was a limited edition 75 TS with taller gears. Moreover they claim that "regular" TS had a sparsely installed lsd, with exception of forementioned LE. I'm just confused...
