brookstroutr,

The conversions I have seen or read about cut the lower part of the shifter off and weld in a Milano/86 GTV6 lower end. Then replace the shifter rod with the Milano/86 GTV6 rod and iso mech. And then for the lump hammer business....
I have edited my earlier post - I had wrongly remembered that the fork was on the shifter rod, not the shifter itself. Apologies.

Mats,
I'm taking your advice!!! I've now had two parts break on the iso set up so I'm swapping the input shafts to go back to the original simple shifter and rod. I didn't notice any shifting advantage and Andy at Performatek said the iso parts are getting scarce. IMHO, the iso set up is a bunch of crap. One of those good ideas, but....didn't work as well as thought.

Hey, I had a 3 on the tree back in the day.
Anyway, I changed the shifter input rod back to the non-iso and everything/s fine. It shifts pretty dam good and I cannot tell much if any difference between the 2. Glad to get rid of the 1-2 rotten spread ratio.
Cheers............... sixth pack.. Now that's funny!!!!!!!!!!!
