1.8 turbo front intercooler, anyone?
What about a Sierra cossworth intercooler?
I have a Lancer Evo intercooler for that, haven't gotten around to actually mount it because it requires some cutting in the sheet metal and I can't do it. I just can't do a irreversible mod to my -87 75 T in this condition, so my IC is for sale.

Where do you live?
I think it's too much trouble to send it in the mail abroad and such, sry.
Surely there are intercoolers available locally?

Found a pic of what the Mitsu Evo looks like on a 75.
Looks like it was built for that.
Never mind that URL, doesn't work, scrapped that hompage a couple of years back...

I'm also planning to mount a front IC.
I have the 75 TurboDiesel twin fan water radiator set up ready to be installed. I also have a 75 1.6 i.e. inlet manifold to dump the standard IC. This way I can use the trottle body in its standard position.
Question now is there any front intercooler that can be easily mounted? Mats refered the EVO one, but the way I'm designing the setup, the intercooler has to have the inlet and the outlet on the same side...
Something like this, I guess!

French cars are shit and shit expensive to service and bloody awful and unreliable and expensive and friends don't let friends drive french cars and you wait years for parts.
Any engine bay pics?
Does the trottlebody has to be repositioned?
I recall that the 75 EVO race car has the trottlebody in the same place as the road car.. but then it's a very close fit to the cooler pipes, because the compressor outlet is facing up in the road car, and facing down in the EVO race car.
Other way to do it is to make a std intercooler a water cooled chargecooler? Any thoughts on this?

I´m going to start the works on my 75 Turbo, but i´m going to change the intercooler, put megasquirt and maybe water/metanol injection.
It has an evo engine.
But are you modifying the standard intercooler to water cooling?Luis wrote: I was thinking on this too.

Regarding the front intercooler setup, here is a picture of the turbo in a works car, the compressor has been rotated 180º and the outlet flange is facing down. The wastegate mount is different too. You can see the diferences betwen the road car.
