Well this has been something i've wanted to know for awhile ever since i was looking in a car mag the other day. And i dont mind asking cos this thread has been getting abit boring lately, so thought i'd put up a question to ask you all...
Now i know a screamer pipe has something to do with the wastegate, but here's my question/s
How loud is a screamer pipe..?
I doubt there legal, but are they..?
Does it give alot of extra performance, or just abit..?
Does a screamer just give gasses another fun way of leaving the engine bay..?
Is it better to have an internal or external wastegate...?
Final question, could i scare old people off the road with one...?
Yes my questions are serious, just the last one for laugh's lol.
Thanks for any help!
Scr eamer Pipe!!!
Selling 1985 GTV6.
Ecu and injectors, lightened.....plays music.
Screamer pipes does not offer the least bit of performance increase they are only a thing silly people use to attract attention.
It is very loud and will annoy the hell out of you after about five minutes unless you are a 18 yo w4nk3r. ok?
internal or external wastegate depends on the turbo you're getting, some have internal others are made for external.
