I just bought brakes for our endurance 75TS. Wilwood Superlite front and unlike my GTV which has Dynalite rears, I'll use Superlites in the rear too.

Does anybody have easier/cheaper/better ideas for rear disks than SZ ones?

I'm not allowed to move them outboards and SZ disks are bolt on and just require an adapter for the calipers. I would like something thicker to use the caliper better though.

There was a option very close to the sz's, little rework needed, what I remember from a peugot 309 or something :?
Ah, already found it (the brain still works  )

Edit: The peug 306 (dia 265.5 mm) looks like an upgrade from the 309....

Are you using 4pot fronts and rears :? Brake balance should require something like 70% front and 30% rear in terms of brake torque.

Any info on the superlites up front? We have some Superlite IIA calipers and I'm wondering if they can fit within 15" wheels.

Searching using this forum is a %^@#$, is this the only non-ES30, cheap & easy rear brake upgrade to do?

I desperately need to adress my rear brakes but I'm having trouble justifying the ES30 Rotor price. Should have bought them years ago when they were cheaper!

Yes. I have 4 potters in both ends and so will the new car have.

How expensive are the SZ disks these days? I have them in the GTV (from Tar.Ox) and they were affordable. The only justification for Pug disks is if they are bloody much cheaper.

The SZ disc is difficult to find, the normal oe replacement stuff suppliers here on every street corner can't supply them.

Brembo SZ from performatek $172 without shipping
Brembo Peug ~E100,- or less if you really look for them

Maybe a simpler way, make an aluminum hat + wilwood discs at the backside. So you don't have to machine the discs every time you replace them.
(I prefer buying standard parts, without the hassle of getting the machined on time)

I'll ask around for the SZ stuff.
I also first planned on Wilwood disks but they don't have really suitable sizes. The small ones are too thin.

If SZ fails I continue checking.

Micke,

the smallest UL-HP : dia 10.50" (266,7 mm) x width 1.15" (29,2 mm) would work, or am I missing something here?

you can order the sz disks from any brembo distributor or dealer willing to make the call to brembo ita. i think you can get the pair for around $285 if you go that route.

otherwise there is a nice guy in the uk who sells 3g ultimate brake rotors. www.ricerocketuk.co.uk

the prices (icld vat) are on his ebay site as follows:
GR-10 RS-10 GR-20
SZ 3.0i V6 Coupé 89-96 F 3G-03922 £170 £182 £190
3.0i V6 Coupé 89-96 R 3G-04235 £170 £182 £190

i bought a set of 330mm discs from them... niiiice. do not forget to subtract vat if you live in the US

What does those wilwood discs cost? Will they work with the performatek widening kit or do we ned something wider?

The wilwood discs is already down ~230g (in total) and then we need hats and mounting bolts/bobines as well. Probably worth it though.
Maybe there are some nice calipers that fits the std pos? (Fcuk the e-brake) :)
