GoTech and Voltage

Hey,

The other day I was at the local dyno and the tuner was playing around with the GoTech, I was watching the voltage and it was all over the place. It even dropped to like 4v at one stage, and then suddenly the GoTech seemed to lose some settings and it switched to 4 cyl, the car sputtered and died. Upon restart the lowest ignition map was gone (?) and it was set to 4 cyl but the rest of the old map was still there...

I assume the bad voltage may have had something to do with it, is it possible to fit a capacitor to stop this? Y'know, those 1 farad capacitors that are very commonly used with car stereos or something similar? Would this work?

omg, that sounds really bad, what kind of wire do you have to the ECU?

No idea, I didnt install it. I have a feeling the voltage going to most of my electrics is like that though... at least when the car is cold.
