Cheap easy way to install custom steering wheel

I don't know if the steering wheel hub assembly on a GTV is the same as the Milano but on my Milano I was able to mount a Grant custom wheel without any special adaptors. I imagine a Momo or similar wheel would mount as easily.

I ground down the four rivets holding the steering wheel to the wheel mounting hub and removed the wheel. Grant wheels mount much like Momos only they use 5 screws instead of six. I merely laid the wheel on the Alfa hub and drilled/tapped five holes. Attached the steering wheel to the hub with the small five screws and then attached the whole wheel/hub assembly to the steering column.

i have also done this with my Momo wheel, but i added a 20mm spacer
between the two and put bolts behind for extra strenght.
