New to the forum
Hi,
I'm new to the forum but I am a born & bred Alfisti. Presently own 3XAlfas,
GT3.2
156GTA
147GTA
I have just added a 1986 Alfetta GTV 3L, number 209 off 212. The car has a genuine 30000km from new, totally original. I've searched for such a car & finally with the help of Dawie De Villiers I have managed to locate such a car. It's white with the original split rim Compomotives.
I have failed to mention that my 156 & 147GTA's have some mods, the 156 runs a Stage 3 3.7L by Glenwood Motors making 212wkW down at the Cape Coast of SA where I reside.
The 147 runs a far wilder 3.7L with 304degree cams,6XJenvey ITB's etc & makes 252wkW, it made a phenomenal 219wkW at Dawies Pretoria workshop which is near 1.7km altitude so it's strong.Have some serious chassis mods to these cars, big 6 Piston brakes & so on. Looks are stock bar the 18" GT multispoke Alfa alloys & ever so slightly lowered ride height, I'm in to the sleeper look. My Gt3.2 on the other hand is bone stock but has 19" BBS CH rims, -35mm H&R's, looks TDBLK's but just show...............just a daily cruiser.
I've had the old GTV3L upgraded as well with the usual 101mm big bore WOSSNER pistons, Pauter Rods (11.4:1CR) big valve heads, 304 degree cams & Dawie tells me it's making just over 150wkW up in Pretoria which is seriously strong for a 12V/6XCarb I think.
Have upgraded the brakes, Bilsteins, lowered a little & fitted the Alfa 75 transmission with LSD.
Car looks stock, under the bonnet as well but performs well enough to keep up with the more modern V6's.
I hope to have some good times on the forum & to share my experiences where possible with all the other Alfistti.................but most of all to celebrate the best Alfa of them all, the Alfetta GTV6.

Hey guys,
Here are some pics of John's collection. I will post some more soon of the other cars, as 2 of them are with Dawie and the other one is in the paint shop.
Cheers

- Beautiful example of a GT, since this was taken, the car has a new and very mean front bumper from Alfa.

If he hasn't tried ....try loging in first, then going to the topic and then try to reply. It sounds like he is trying to log in at the time he is trying to post his reply.
