Having trouble choosing between Serpent autosport Type 3 five spoke or Ronal's R41 five spoke. I would like to stay with 16 inch diameter...

Is this large enough for a Wildwood big brake upgrade or other upgrades?

I would choose the Ronal's as I think the Serpent's looks way to modern with those curved spokes.

If you want a brake upgrade and wheel change, you need to plan the job together because the spokes may foul the calipers. Daniel has just completed a conversion for my race car and you cannot do one without the other. Trust me.

Also keep and eye on the offsets. The wheels you have chosen may or may not work depending on your choice of rotors and calipers.

16" rims give good clearance.

Both wheels offer ~35mm offset. Backside of Ronal spokes seem to offer a little more room at the rim

MD: This probably belongs in the brake section...but can you give some dimensions...wheel size, caliper clearance,...rotor size..on your upgrade

OK..I went with the 16 Ronal's 35mm offset 5x 98 with correct 58.6mm centering ring.

The Ronal website actually shows a variety of wheels that they make in 5 x 98 pattern...

Dealt with Sebastiano C on Ebay....real nice to deal with so far

You should have plenty of room for brake upgrading. The stock brakes (on a milano, at least) are designed to be able to accomodate 14 in wheels. Therefore even with stock 15 in wheels, there is room for more rotor diameter. With 16 in, you should be able to go huge.

OK..got the Ronal 16in rims today... don't have tires yet but here is a preview

at 7.5 wide and 35mm offset...with tires will be a close one at the fender lip

Finally got everything together and went out for a 3 hour drive...

Just in case you are wondering, I am parked on a hill making the front look higher. Even with 225's all around, there is no rubbing at all, no problem turning, wheels and tire fit nicely into wheel well.

35mm offset

These tires do NOT have a significant wheel guard rubber edge on sidewall so be careful parking!
