I hereby affirm that 500ml of RESTORE and 500 miles will repair any worn 2litre car engine enough to pass any MOT emissions test and any cylinder compression test. RESTORE will permanently add at least 50psi to any worn smoky cylinder within 500 miles. So does it un-wear valve guides and re-...

Mats, I thought you might chime in! I think a lot of the Nordic drivers really loved visiting. There seemed to be some sort of 'cultural fit'. The TV interviews were always good - the dry humour and sarcasm that miserable weather instills may be part of the equation. My favorite non-Irish driver at ...

Barry. They were great years. During the Circuit of Ireland, we used to love speculating on how long the newbies would last. It was a 5 day event with some thru-the-night stages. Being April, so you could get at least 3 seasons within the hour. The newbies never understood that you had to nurse the ...

New Rallyretro Site

Almost 100% non-Alfa: This is an amazing site. It reignites so many great childhood memories of watching my heroes rallying. Thankfully, the memories of getting up at 3am, frozen toes, car-sickness, being drenched to the skin, etc. have all faded. Replaced by the stronger recollections of Coleman, ...

I think you can see it in the pics you posted. If those aren't heat shields, you've got major (loud) exhaust leaks. The std front (cat) section has heatshield 'outerpipes' all the way from where the horizontal starts to become 100deg curves up to the flanges that bolt to the manifolds. And they're u...

In any case, it looks like the denting is in the metal heat shroud that surrounds the pipes, not the pipes themselves.

$399 sounds about right. Last year, I figured I could build a MAF to ECU black box for around this kind of money using a PLC controller. What I couldn't figure out was how on earth do you calibrate it? Could you plot rpm vs mV for the standard AFM and use that plot for the programmable black box?

Doug, Check out the BMW 528i L-Jet schematic I attached. It's a bit easier to read than what's on Cardisk. Do you have 12V and gnd at the CSV? I suspect you don't have a good ground from the thermo time switch. It is what switches the CSV on and off. I'm not quite sure but it looks like the ECU prov...

Good to see your latest update Seb.

You mentioned 90deg bends; the stock manifolds require a tighter bend; 80deg. Are the Glenwood headers different?

Ain't America great?

Truth in advertising is a concept completely unheard of.

Which is fine; it's important to cater to the crowd of which '1 is born every minute'. This helps maintain and increase the wealth divide.

Does that go as far as having the original leaky t-belt tensioner and the cold engine timing retard crap on it? And if it is an '85, does it have to have the crapy metric tires on it? Sam is remembering the 1st time he opened the hood of my car. Talk about originale. Cali smog wiring still intact. ...

Yeah, but avoid the ones with the squiggle of icing on the edge. 'Could really screw up driveshaft balance. :D
