zambon, the gear came out of a normal car, not sure how long it was in there fore for the teeth part of the gear physically seperated from the centre. Both me and boludo saw it at our mechanics workshop. I wouldnt be removing any metal from any gear unless its been properly done and also approved by...

Yes I agree. We have seen this sort of modification self destruct. If too much metal is removed then the inner part of the gear seperates from the outer part of the gear. (the teeth) :shock:

Yep got it for a very good price, I havent powered it up yet so i dont even know if it works, maybe this weekend I will get a chance.

The harness I dont think I will need or want, I will be getting a new one this week and starting from scratch, no point in finding gremlins later on.

When I asked Beninca about doing this (from seing another install done the same way) his answer was do not do this modification, you will lose power from it, approx 5-8hp. Now, is Beninca silly ? Does he not have sufficient experience in Alfa Romeo modifications ? How many other NA intake manifolds ...

Seb,

I personally would have turned the intake manifold 180 deg so that the intake is at the front, by doing what you have done you are asking air to do a U-turn into the intake chamber , this will cost you power - at least 5hp.

The car isnt even running yet, and probably wont be for about 2 years, considering how long its taking to do things. My 24v 3L engine is still in peices...
