what about spark plugs(if u have the original golden lodge toss them for platinum 4+)? and vac lines? i ran a toggle fused line directly from the battery to my fuel pump when my car was giving me that same problem. my fuel pump wasnt getting a solid power signal. is your car running yet?

great... this sounds even more fun then replacing the driveshaft donuts. i really envy the guys who show up at the track with a set of tires, a tire iron, a chair, and a cooler. its always something!!

so how about those spacing flanges? anybody else notice that they vary in size?

Rear cv joints and those friggin flanges on the transaxle

the rubber boots cracked on both sides of the axle half cv joints on boths gtv6's at watkins glen. of course one of those cars (the 2.8l) wont be needing cv joints because the tires at turn 11 picked a fight with the front and side of the car and the tires won. so long story short the joints spewed ...

could anybody with vented rear rotors hint at their brake temps? i am running carbotech xp 9 and fairly gummy kumho v700. i also have an anti dive bar to keep the rear end planted when i hit the brakes. i have not locked the rear wheels up yet and i have been working them hard.

Brake temps at the track

hey guys, i was at watkins glen this past week for a trackmasters track day and the car ran spectacular. however, even after switching to castrol srf (the friggin expensive 600 temp fluid) i am still finding myself with cooked fluid toward the end of the day. my front brake disc temps are in the 250...

i am using them on both my cars. they definately changed something. i went from bosch 1's to the bosch 4's and car ran noticeably different. afterwards i played with the timing advance and the the air fuel ratio via spring tension and the cars reallly ran well.

if i were you i would make sure the ignition amplifier connections are good. that is right beneath the ignition coil. the ones on my car were all oxidized and they caused what sounds like the same problem.

The problem is the stock Alfa air/oil separator sucks. Check out the first picture on this page www.oldebottles.com/italiancarspage5.htm . We are using that separator on our cars. With the hose pointed up and the transition to a smaller hose on the uphill side zero oil gets into the intake, just fu...
