Hi Charlie, No, 14.25 is not to much. A brighter idiot light would indicate that the output of the from the alternator is actually droping with increased rpm, which is usually the opposite effect of what you'd expect from a dodgy alternator. Expected Speedometer output
Well I applied 12VDC to the sensor and capacitivly coupled the + terminal to measure the output. Rotating the spindle with a drill, I get a sinusodal output of approximately 70 mV Pk-PK, which to me is somewhat low. Anybody know what the expected pk-pk or rms output of these sensors are supposed to ...
