I noticed my passenger side rear tire was rubbing on the wheel well. After some investigation I came to the conclusion that my axle shifted backwards. I can't find anything that would have caused the shift. Anyideas????

If it shifted backwards, the likely culprit is the front deDeon bushing, although generally if that wears there are other noises that will appear first. If there's slop laterally, that may be allowing contact (the more likely thing) the usual culptits are the Watt's link bushings. Individually they may not be shot but when all 5 are somewhat worn the total effect can add up.

Thanks! Gerry!
It turned out to be a bent watts linkiage (believe it or not) The previous owner must have hit something that caused the exhaust to slam into the linkage. When I bought it 2 months ago it had a new ansa exhaust.

Umm just a quick note. The previous owner did not hit something that caused the exhaust to bend your watts linkage. This linkage comes from the factory with a bend in it to accomodate the exhaust, unlike in the 75 which has a straight linkage. As stated above the most likely reason for the tyre rubbing is a worn DeDion bush or worn Watts linkage bushes.
